SAFERhome & ASTTBC Home & Property Inspectors

In order to attain sustainable communities, homes must be designed to be both safe and adaptable.

In partnership with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC), SAFERhome Standard Society (SAFERhome) utilizes an ASTTBC certified home inspectors to ensure certification standards have been met.

SAFERhome provides the only certification program in Canada that addresses the issues of human sustainability in the application of universal design.

Using today’s cellular and video technologies and remote assistants, we can ensure that everyone in BC benefits from today’s technology to ensure safer homes for tomorrow.

SAFERhome Standard Society promotes the adoption and use of housing standards and practices that are safer, healthier, and more sustainable for everyone in the community. We do this by using our nineteen-point solution. The SAFERhome Standard Society’s 15-points standards enhances local building codes to ensure that universal accessibility is maintained for everyone as we age.

Additional advantages include improved safety and increased value for all homeowners. The SAFERhome Standard Society exclusively uses ASTTBC home and property inspectors who are fully certified and meet SAFERhome inspector requirements. This ensures our inspectors are highly qualified, very competent, and professional.

ASTTBC’s role as a regulatory body adds credibility to the SAFERhome inspection process. Our property inspectors are not only licensed to perform home inspections in BC but they also represent the industry with the highest standards of inspection and professionalism.

As part of a professional association, ASTTBC property inspectors are part of a group of over 10,000 members working in applied science, engineering technology, and technical specialist occupations every day throughout this Province.

Embracing today’s technology is just one example of how ASTTBC utilizes the highly skilled technology workforce to ensure economic prosperity in this province.
